Neuro-linguistic Programming
(NLP) may be described as the study of how humans think
and experience the world. NLP is devoted to
learning how to think more effectively and communicate
more effectively. Neuro relates to our
neurological system (the mind), how we experience the
world through our senses and translate the information
into thought processes both consciously and
unconsciously. Linguistic is the way humans use
language to make sense of the work, capture and
conceptualise the experience and then communicate that
experience to others. Programming draws on how we
code or mentally represent an experience.
NLP show
people how to recode their experiences and organise
their own internal programs so they can achieve their
specific and desired outcomes. Some areas where
NLP can help are addictive or compulsive behaviour, time
management, communication, confidence, job performance
and stress management.
NLP can help you to:
-
"Be more successful
by learning to influence your emotional and
psychological states"
-
"Replace negative
behaviours and habits with positive ones"
-
"Transform the way
you go about normal, daily tasks"
-
"Be more aware of
your impact on others and how to manage your behaviour
for optimal results"
-
"Better understand
your own motivations, needs and behaviours, and use
these positively to have the greatest impact"
-
"Better understand
staff and customer needs, motivations and behaviours"
-
"Improve and enhance
your interpersonal communication at office and at home"
